Statement from the PPG at Billingshurst Surgery
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) for Billingshurst Surgery had its first meeting on 4 November 2021.
Currently, the PPG is made up of 14 surgery registered local residents, surgery management and clinical staff.
The aims and purposes of the PPG are:
- To be an advocate for patient services
- To be inclusive and representative of all of the Billingshurst community
- To be the eyes and ears of our community and feedback trends, patient opinions and experiences with the surgery
- To be a critical friend to the surgery
- To support health education and patient awareness
- To develop a solution based approach to patient concerns through the development of an Action Plan and monitor improvements
The PPG will not, and cannot, engage with individual patient complaints or concerns. But we will discuss and report back to the surgery any matters that we notice through social media and community feedback.
The PPG cannot provide medical advice to patients.
The PPG is looking forward to working with the surgery to improve the service offer and wellbeing of all residents in our community and will issue regular updates on our progress.
