Telephone Availability Policy

In line with Good Medical Practice for General Practitioners the Practice has a system for receiving and returning phone calls from patients.

The Practice telephone lines are open between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Patients can telephone the Surgery between these times to request to speak to a doctor or nurse. If a clinician is not available at the time, a message will be sent requesting that they call you back. Please note that, unless your call is urgent, a clinician will call you back at the earliest opportunity taking into account their ongoing surgeries and other patient committments, such as home visits.

If it is an urgent call, the call will be dealt with immediately by the Duty Doctor.

Face-to-face contact with the receptionist is available Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, 8.00 am to 6.30 pm on Fridays and by telephone from 8.00am to 6.30pm.
